ANNOUNCEMENT

57th Annual
Memphis-Shelby County Science and Engineering Fair
Wednesday March 23 (Set-Up Day) - Thursday March 24, 2011
Awards Ceremony - Monday, April 4, 2011

There will be 2 divisions: one for grades 6 thru 8 and a second one for grades 9 thru 12. The fair will be held on the campus of Christian Brothers University..

All participants must check-in at
the Science Fair Courtesy desk in the front lobby of the Cooper-Wilson Center.

March 23: Project Set-up begins at 10 am and continues until 8:00 pm
March 24: Project Set-up begins at 7 am and continues until 11 am
Judging begins at 12 noon and ends at 2 pm
Public Viewing and Project Removal from 2 pm until 7 pm
All projects must be removed by 7 pm on March 24, 2011.

Early entry is encouraged; students may change the name of the project or
categories later if they choose to do so. Please let us know of any changes,
however.

Tables will be provided; it is not necessary to bring card tables this year.

Group projects will be accepted. Group projects submitted for the Grades 6
through 8 division will be judged with the individual projects. But in the grades
9-12 division, group projects and individual projects will be judged separately.
Only the winner of the individual project category in the grades 9-12 division will
be selected to go on to the INTEL International Science Fair. Both group and
individual projects from the 6th -8th grade and the 9th -12th grade divisions will be
eligible for consideration for special awards.
